The problem is that the interests of the private investors converge. The best we can hope from them is to fight each other, but they won't ever attack the system that keeps them all rich.

Why would private investors fund news criticizing them?

This doesn't justify what facebook is doing at all. What if I steal 10$ from you? Would it change your life or deprive you of food? Probably not, but that doesn't make it legal to do.

You don't just "get a different name". You may already have a logo you paid well for. You may have prepared advertising. You may have references to the name everywhere in your code. And so on. Also even if it was easy and cos

What if you work for months/years on a product, waiting for it to be ready-ish before announcing it to the public, only for a corporation to steal your name a few weeks before launch?

Read again: > One more thing: Our new product launch just got delayed because of Facebook. We must deal with these matters. In the coming weeks, we will make an announcement earlier than we expected. We promise it will be good. Stay tune

Before making any suggestion, think if you would like it applied to you. If the answer is no, I call bullshit. First, because it is highly unfair and elitist, second because there's no reason to think that the "poors" would a

No thanks, sounds too much like the matrix. This is the kind of irreversible action that could very easily destroy us. Before doing something like this I'd rather give up our modern lifestyle or reduce the global population by 3/4

I remember as a child I would often go with my parents to gather pine seeds as we have many pines where I grew up. There were really a lot to be found in the right periods, literally on the streets. Nowadays for some reason they're alm

I feel like you've wasted 153 words while completely missing the point of the article, which isn't to advocate for a return to a pre-industrial era, but to ask why we have less free time today than we had then.

Why should I care about their work schedule then? Is it not my nature as well to disregard that in favor of my health?

Seriously. I feel like my health and my wellbeing are hostage of a mass of angry egocentric drivers who can't possibly conceive taking a bike ride or using public transportation. Given their aggressive and uncompromising approach, I fe

I like the second idea, but you need reliability in order to choose the bike as a transportation to, say, work. You can't afford to wait to randomly meet someone to share a ride with if you need to be somewhere at a specific time. This

I agree so much on the heroin aspect as I always made the same comparison between tourism and drugs. Withdrawal syndrome is the only word I can find to describe the state Firenze was left in without tourists, during the initial lockdowns.

I’ve seen managers/CEOs defending toxic people with seniority. Good luck if the manager is going to bat for someone that’s been taken to HR multiple times.
