I had this happen to me once. Between when I accepted the offer and my start date the company had a 10% layoff. I pretty much got the cold shoulder the moment I walked in the door and it was a pretty miserable experience. I only stayed at t

An in house recruiter may be the way to go. Good news is that you don't have to hire them full time. I've worked with a few in house recruiters that work part time for several different companies. As a candidate I much prefer to w

Thanks for posting this. I use to do a bunch of AS/400 work when I was at IBM. I do miss working with it. This will be fun to mess around with.

One of my gripes about any agile like process is how the daily standup turn into a status meeting. I feel that is just a waste of time, we don't need to give status daily. It should be a time to identify blockers and identify who is go

They are also thinking of that $10K in todays dollars. Adjusted for inflation, that $10K truck that could could buy back in the mid-80s costs the same as a new one today. You just get a heck of a lot more features.

Good news, you can buy this car today. It is called the Mitsubishi Mirage. Hardly anyone buys it because it is an absolutely dreadful car to drive.

Starting with ESXi 6 VMware has disabled the transparent page sharing (Memory Dedup) by default. Back in 2015 or so there was a theoretical VM escape vector that used the shared memory pages. So VMware just changed the default to disabled.
