Timely article. I'm unhappy at my job and yesterday I decided that I am going to quit my job at the end of the year and work on my startup idea full time. This morning I woke up in a panic of what the hell am I thinking. After I calmed down a bit I realized I hadn't actually done anything yet. I sat down and thought about it for a bit and realized that I am not in a good environment for myself. I could just get another job, but I think I'm ready to start working for myself. It is something that I've wanted to do my entire career. Now I've got experience, and I have enough savings that I can take some risk. I've got a little over 100 days until I need to give notice. So I am going to spend a little bit of time everyday working on my plan.
