At work, they gave everyone a GitHub Copilot license whether they wanted one or not, which meant it started spewing nonsense on all our PRs. (I had them remove my license again.) I don't use LLMs, but a coworker who does said that Copi

> That was then, this is now. No, what we were seeing with curl was script kiddies. It wasn't about the quality of the models at all. They were not filtering their results for validity.

There was a bit of a scandal at my employer some years back and IIRC it was kicked off by someone posting/boosting some really questionable stuff on LinkedIn. Amusingly, this was someone high up in HR.

Yeah, these idiots obviously should have been testing models from 1-2 years in the future so that by the time their paper is released, the models are current.

A flat parking lot is already a ridiculously inefficient use of resources. Putting solar panels on top directly improves quality of life (through shade) and claws back a bit of that inefficiency.

Is that 20% of the solar energy, or 20% of the visible light, or some other spectrum fraction? It's easy to lose track of what part of the spectrum you're discussing.

I mean, I don't know anything about Claude. That sounds like it could be normal for a heavily vibe-coded project. But GH was pretty stable for a decade or so, through many changes. I don't think there's that much new activi

I've misattributed a similar writing style to AI a couple times now, which I also feel bad about. But yeah, this is essentially the writing style that LLMs are mimicking .

How is it not? It reads to me as them saying that all these devs have deskilled from "barely competent" to "completely helpless". Or is your claim that they were actually really good devs, and the deskilling has been eve

So you're saying that instead of the risk of an energy system that can't grow in capacity, we should stay with the current one that risks shrinking to zero at the drop of a geopolitical hat? Solar panels are capex. Oil is opex

And exactly as soon as your prediction comes true, it will become obvious for people to buy battery banks that perform temporal arbitrage. Which will then mostly solve the issue.

So what you're saying is that now the worst devs can produce code faster and their velocity is no longer limited by their incompetence. Why is this supposed to be a good thing?
