Hehe. Yeah. As said, it's a German thing. EMV stands for "elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit" which translates to EMC.

The TÜV can do these EMV tests for you. But it's a standard in whole Europe. It's part of the CE marking. Not too easy to find literature on this in English. I hope this helps you: http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise&#

Yes, CE certification is needed as well. EMV is a German thing - electromagnetic compatibility tests which are needed for consumer electronics. And about FCC. This article explains it pretty well: https://www.sparkfun.com/tu
