Justin captures the main thing I remember from seeing these guys early on. It wasn't entirely clear what they were doing, but they were just having so much fun, you knew they would figure it out.

Q/Q iPhone growth isn't that meaningful because they've been supply constrained. What you're actually seeing in that growth figure is how fast they've been able to grow iPhone production.

If you have a small pool of people, doesn't that mean you haven't worked with very many people? They're not going to be able to manufacture co-workers for you to rate.

That's not "basically full employment" -- it's the highest unemployment rate among college grads in the last 2 decades. Here's a BLS report that shows that more clearly: http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet?request_...

This is one of several articles that expand on an essay written by SF restaurateur Mark Pastore and published in the SFGate and on his site. The original is also well worth reading: http://incanto.biz/2010/10/22/is-opentable-worth-it/

I wouldn't worry too much. In order for the Mac to continue to serve as a development platform, it can't be completely locked down. They're making it clear these days that they care a lot about the app ecosystem, so there will have to be a

Seems like this will be pretty effective even if widely known, since clearing one of these 'cookies' will require deleting a lot of info, including some you were probably using. You'll be simultaneously clearing history and cache, logging y

Sometimes it cuts the other way though. Take Flickr: bought for just a bit more than Dopplr by a company with significant problems, today the #2 photo site in the world (after Facebook) and more relevant and vibrant than ever.

But imagine a hypothetical world where there was no Android, or where Android was utterly unsuccessful in the market. In that world, Apple would be in a much stronger position against Verizon — in that world, Verizon would need the iPhone.
