That is a promising approach, I'll look into it. Thanks for your praise, but unfortunately, the rest of HN did not share your view.

Note that the bottom half of the above article confusingly is an interview with yet another Nick (Hampshire). Sidenode, here is another interview with Nick Sheridon from 2009, apparently not even retrievable using Google: https:/&#x

Due to HNs table-based markup, it can't be done CSS-only, I am afraid, thus the need for a JS userscript.

Pixel Qi stopped their business years ago. What they promoted as "E-paper with Color and Video" was in fact a transflective LCD screen (10.1") with 60 Hz (?).

Hi HN, this is something I built four years ago; tkbash allows you to spin up interactive windows for Linux-like systems with just one or very few lines of bash commands. The idea might be familiar to you if you have worked with AutoHotkey

This is a fork[1] of a basic HN clone[2] written in Vue.js, but with an enhanced scrolling experience for comments. Scroll down and you'll quickly see. It's what I am missing most on websites like Reddit, HN etc. Hope it is useful

I would enjoy coding without having to run an X server but haven't done so because Vim and Emacs learning curves turned me off. Micro is great but still needs config adjustments so it feels familiar. I tried to bundle these into one re

I have always felt that nice, filterable lists of data tailored to non-technical users is severely lacking in the web of linked data. This is a first attempt at filling this gap. Produpedia takes the sophisticated rdf tuples of DBpedia[1] a

Did you have any negative experiences with Audacious? I have found it to be a nice, powerful yet easy to use audio player that is very fast and built with GTK (or Qt now?). Not very well known but excellent software. And as a bonus, it come

Yes you can use DeltaChat for "normal" emails as well, but I was referring to the usability of it. I do not think many would ever ditch, say, Gmail in favor of Delta, as long as conventional emails are prevailing. The main problem

While collapsing is important, I would really like all comments to be sticky, so that when you scroll down, (only) the first line of all parent comments are shown at the top in the usual nested way. This way, you always know where you are.

Data can be copied easily, so I do not see a problem here. Individual-related data such as friend information or messages should belong to the individual and needs to be provided if they ask for it.
