I am so happy to work in a company that does not work with this business voodoo (and still delivers great results). All goal frameworks I have worked in, OKRs included, were a colossal waste of time.

In all fairness, I would be hard-pressed to name two games that have been released over the decade of my own youth that have offered a map creator system and have been hugely popular.

Every ad blocker asks for "read and change all your data on websites" permission, same as page scrapers/readability tools - so depending on the disguise I think it won't be hard to get this permission.

That was already a major problem when the platform was still called musical.ly and not even remotely as big as it is right now. So this is a problem which is relevant enough to report upon without the need of someone paying for it.

It's an interesting book, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and the evidence provided by the book does not really hold up.

No, that’s not it, sorry. The line of argument which boils down to „my side is guided by logic and facts, while your side is guided by emotion and fear“ makes the one who invokes it (ironically) vulnerable to missing valuable facts that mi

I think it’s condescending to claim that environmentalists are guided mainly by emotions and people who share your view are guided by science. The problems surrounding nuclear waste is not as clear cut as the article suggests.

What’s wrong with that? I once read the plot of a horror movie on that page and it haunted me for months. And that was even though I fully expected the article to be unpleasant.

True, though it aims to cater the use case for „I need support now“ and not for „I want to archive this question and its solution“.

I am surprised this edge case exists - last time I set up an iPhone with Apple Watch I had to specifically enable the feature (it was for an elderly person so it made sense)

StackOverflow originated during a time when finding accurate and up-to-date documentation on the internet was a challenge. Today, however, there is a wealth of easily accessible, hands-on documentation that often includes links to support r

That's not what I took away from the article. On the contrary, to me, the article listed several trade-offs that come with choosing what might be the "right" tool at any given time. The carpenter metaphor does not really fit

With sap, the end user is not the customer. Hence, the whole thing is designed to pass a sales pitch and nothing else. The people who use this are not the ones who make the buy decision.
