I am so happy to work in a company that does not work with this business voodoo (and still delivers great results).
All goal frameworks I have worked in, OKRs included, were a colossal waste of time.
- ramraj07 4y agoWhat size is your company? What else can we do when a company has reached 1000+ employees?
- pflenker 4y agoAbout 17.000 employees.
- ricardobeat 4y agoWhat kind of practices are followed over there?
- kmac_ 4y agoThe blog nicely states that OKRs are just a part of a solution. I've seen when OKRs actually worked, and the emphasis was put on the objectives part and later the indicators produced a set of initiatives. Unfortunately, I've also seen really stupid low level "OKRs" (like unit test coverage) absolutely detached from bussines goals and the whole process was just a cargo cult managment.
- marcosdumay 4y ago> a colossal waste of time Oh, that's when they work on the least bad way. They can become much more than that, all it takes is somebody intent on gaming them.
