No, that's not how international relations work. Really not. May be different for internal politics. Since people are often irrational.

German journalists do. Sadly.

Or maybe it could be seen as a helpful reminder for idiots to not act based on a single source. If some guy on the stock market sells millions of dollar's worth of stock based on a single Tweet, they deserve the consequences.

Rule 14a: never argue on Twitter. Yelling one-liners at each other is the opposite of a thoughtful discussion.

Twitter is mostly angry psychos yelling one-liners to push their ideology. That and "journalists". And then the later think the world is made up entirely of the former. My Twitter block list is probably 10 times as long as my foll

China has been doing that for 3 decades. The target is a 60% urbanization rate. That's why there are so many "empty apartments". Because they are build and it takes a year or two to fill them up, so it looks like they are &qu

I frequented a tech forum for 10+ years, almost entirely male. Same thing, never any bad behavior or trolling. Let's not draw premature conclusions from insufficient data.

That's was the entire idea of globalized manufacturing for the past fifty years. Africa however will be much more difficult as a whole. But there are individual countries that will maybe be able to benefit from it some day. For now, it

In China, trials are irrelevant, because there is no independent judicial system. What's more important is intention. One side tries to catch murderers and sometimes does not follow due process. The other side tries to kill off the cul

True, that's why I say the Falcons should be in jail. But the intention is to catch extremists, the flaw is to not follow due process. Whereas in China, the intention is to commit cultural genocide.

Trials are irrelevant in China, because judges are part of the CCP. the Uygurs are imprisoned based on their race. With or without trial makes no difference.

Good to see that at least the USA has the balls to act against the "reeducation" camps. My country (Germany) should be the loudest voice against it, but as usual we say nothing and hope nobody notices.

I agree that the Falcons should be in prison, but there is a difference between putting a few hundred political extremists in jail, compared to a few million normal people based on their race. So, no, not "hypocrites".

Your last point is just ridiculous. Reddit has taken not just steps against hate groups, but they basically banned any opinion that isn't "correct". Before 2016 I often found interesting people to have insightful and controve

The actual numbers of murders by police do not support that claim though. To quote (black) Columbia scholar McWhorter: "black people in the US are 2.5 times more likely to be poor, and they are 2.5 times more likely to be murdered by p

Couldn't people just change their last name? I imagine if suddenly everyone's last name was Gupta, that kind of discrimination would become difficult.

In this day and age, it's a wise move to make a new account and protect your identity. Nobody wants their live destroyed ("canceled") for a comment. That's what it has become, and it will only get worse.

Better only being downvoted than being Canceled, like so many others are for daring to question the new "truths". So many people's economic and social lives have already been destroyed.

The left is currently redefining racism. Hate against Whites is defined as not being racist. And being White is means that you are always racist. I wish, I was kidding.
