Why would we want to tax consumption of the wealthy (or anyone)? Don't we want to promote spending? The tax code should reward those that make investments, purchases, and donations. Not punish them. They should punish those that sit on

Considering that for most websites one can easily reset the password to your account if they have access to your email, this adds no extra security risk (for those situations which are most common websites eg. Amazon, facebook, twitter etc)

Ok, I agree with you then that the company should have released a response. I think what the root comment was discussing was not the fact that they released a response but how they released it and the content of that response.

The company should have had a long discussion with legal and posted a public statement. The CEO shouldn't have gone on his website and posted a comment as a response that sounds like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum.
