I don't think amenities are that big a factor in college choice. For people I know, price and prestige of the school are weighted way more than other factors such as location or quality of the school's buildings.

Interestingly, both Starbucks and Beats have prices similar to nice, higher-end products in their respective markets.

If I remember correctly, it's more of a runtime for some .NET programs with access to the Pi's GPIO pins than a full-fledged OS.

As someone who will have to relocate to the bay area soon, all of this is incredibly worrying. I thought it was just SF that had major opposition to new development. I didn't realize that issue extended to the south bay as well.

I resent the seemingly common belief that STEM and creativity are so disjoint. Every breakthrough in STEM required incredible amounts of creativity. Even average STEM workers (say, for example, a software developer) usually need to exercise

As far as I know, UNIX isn't really a standard. POSIX is, with varying degrees of compliance from these OSes.

I took a very non-traditional English class my freshman year of college, and we had an assignment that required us to use this language. From a traditional programming standpoint, I found this platform very difficult to use, though I was ne

The slide show worked well for the visual content (of which there was a lot), but there was also a lot of content that would be better suited to a regular article.

You get diminishing returns on "innovation" when working inside an existing paradigm. Companies are rarely significantly further ahead of their competitors unless they invent or popularize a new class of product.

It's also worth noting that misinformation can spread very quickly. It takes no effort to click "reblog" and then forget about a post forever. On other platforms with this weakness (such as Reddit), there is incentive to disc
