We installed 4' LED hanging fixtures and mounted them upside down to bounce off the ceiling. It makes a huge difference but requires about 50% more fixtures. It's 1,000 sq feet and around 600w total. We do computer repair so good

This would be huge. Last time I was out field deploying a camera system, customer wanted a custom PVM (Public Viewing Monitor) with a few tweaks, I spun up VB, added the VLC component that gets installed anytime you put VLC on windows. Wrot

My current setup is a HP EliteDesk G3 w/i7 6700 CPU. The PSU inside is 80+ rated and I've seen the externally measured power consumption as low as 9W idling Windows Server 2019. I have no spinning disks inside so add at least a fe

I'd go for a SFF workstation, You can get a CPU with a passmark above 8,000 to idle under 10w for the whole system. We decommissioned a dual xeon setup after realizing it was sucking over 200w while doing nothing. YMMV.

Interesting that it's using the Atom x5-Z8350. I've seen idle power consumption under 1.5W on these chips when software is setup properly. I'm wondering if intel are still selling these chips or are they going to run out when

Tulip mania is the best stress test we could ask for. You are right though, the greedy will use it to exploit the uninformed. Not the best PR for Bitcoin in general.

The amazing thing about insteon is that it does not need a central controller. The devices have relationships with each other (that you can setup by tapping the wall switches themselves). I actually stopped using a central controller years
