I didn't down vote, but you're not just asking questions; you're masking a statement in form of a question.

I thought the reason time flows differently on top of Mount Everest is because the top of the mountain travels faster through space-time than the base (because of the rotation of the earth), not because of gravity...

I came across this limitation within minutes of playing with pg. I couldn't believe that such a powerful tool would be missing something so basic.

Dapper is nice, but if you want to have the compiler check your queries, and still run fast, I recommend LINQ to DB: https://github.com/linq2db/linq2db (not to be confused with LINQ to SQL from Microsoft)

LINQ to DB (not LINQ2SQL; it's an OSS library) is also a good option to talk to Postgres while keeping type safety and performance.

Even something as simple as xdbe (cross db explorer or cross db+ide?) would work. The whole hex thing makes me look again thinking it's an error code.

Have you tried LINQ to DB (not LINQ to SQL) the successor to BLToolkit? We've had good results with it, but we like to keep our queries and datalayer as simple and thin as possible.

Well, if www and .com become meaningless then advertisers will use "type xxx yyy into you bar" instead (which goes to the search engine) or hash tags (already doing this). Then Google could come up with "associate permanent k

I've had that happen a number of times. I'd start a regular call, Skype, or Hangouts call, and when done I sometimes realize some random app was launched or something was selected, etc. Doesn't happen often, but it did happen

I see it the same way. As a country, overall, I think we're still in denial. Calling Manning or Snowden a traitor are examples of people still being in denial. "It just can't be that USG is that bad... These people stole and&

In Europe pretty much any old house is made out of brick. They've been through many earthquakes, built hundreds of years ago and still standing; and this is without reinforcement.

This is good, but I think a more effective way is to bring up some hypotheticals. You don't even have to make up your own. Just look at history and you will find lots of examples of how secrecy leads to corruption, in-fighting, negativ

The text size issues is a bug in Chrome. Firefox for Android has a similar bug as well. For this reason alone I switched to Opera; it has its own bugs, but at least the text size is right.

In my opinion the best way to raise awareness with the general public, not those who would seek out a website on their own, is to go where they are. I would use the same technique Apple used to change minds when the iPhone was new. Come up

While there's a framework in place that forces you to deny what you've done we cannot believe "denials". As long as there's a gun to their head, whatever they say is irrelevant. This is the true cost of surveillance
