Yes Minister is fantastic. I recommend the book all the time. It’s satire, but the exaggeration helps you understand real organizational dynamics. Hmm I’m probably due for a re-read…

Yeah I've had the same experience. I tried to go all-in on automated containers. I curated long regex lists to make sure things grouped the way I wanted. Ultimately it just didn't really work. The major problems I hit were: - Comp

Markdown isn’t detailed enough for legal stuff. Internal references, tables, complex section numbering require extensive post processing or simply don’t work. You quickly wind up with a lot of hidden magic that frustrates people used to wor

Perhaps: add a time column with an artificially huge time range? This defines the grand total as an interval sum that happens to include all possible intervals.

Since that’s all client side, I don’t think sync rights come into it… unless you start streaming while playing the mod, in which case you have now synchronized the music to video and are in violation.

How is the software support? That’s the main thing keeping me on rPi. I tried Pine64 and it was terrible. Never could get my PineBook Pro to boot reliably.

This is what I’m interested to see. Lightning was limited to USB2 (?) speeds, USB-C offers a much bigger menu of capabilities. How many of them does the iPhone 15 utilize? I suspect not much… this generation seems like “fine, EU, we’ll swap

Haha yeah. Their language was hilarious “we’ve been doing this for years guys! Now you can charge your iPhone with the same cable as your Mac and iPad!” I guess they have to spin it. Good on the EU pushing the issue.

Great idea! I’ve used ChatGPT and Midjourney for exactly this with decent results. The kids enjoy the interaction with the robot storyteller, and I’m more comfortable facilitating than making something up out of whole cloth.

Yes, the consumer would benefit. But Consumers are not a concrete interest group like “property insurers”. They lack the concentration of economic power need to cover the costs.

Yeah that stood out to me as well. I think the LEDs are a nice option to have. Piano bars sometimes have big mirrors suspended over the stage so you can see the player’s hands; this is a much more flexible way to achieve a similar effect. T
