Don't think so. Quantum is often used as a convenient explanation for why things work in those circles (at least from what i've seen). How does it protect me from evil radiation? It's quantum, you wouldn't understand.

There is the idea that consciousness cannot be expressed as a computational process (at least not a classical one) because computation is deterministic. We are a part of nature and nature seems to be unpredictable at the quantum level. Quan

Yes, there's the AMD PSP ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD_Platform_Security_Processo... ). It's an ARM core with similar concerns, but even less is known about it.

I collect the coins in the ashtray of my car and then once in a while empty it in a machine at my local bank that counts it and transfers the amount to my bank account. Also, i don't need ATMs that often. 100€ last me for a while and y

I'm skeptic. Forcing people to buy crap they don't need by denying them ways to store cash will probably increase some numbers in some spreadsheets. But is it really a net positive for society? Or are there other reasons that I d

Do you mean Coreboot? Because as far as i know Libreboot still only supports Core2 era hardware. Ivy Bridge would be a huge upgrade in comparison.

Can I ask you what your opinion on LMMS is? It seems to get recommended a lot and I wanted to use it to get into DAWs at some point.

Yes exactly. And now if the constructor of your element, let's say a div, doesn't take a string but a std::initializer_list you can write it like this: auto doc = Div { H1("Topics") };

You could use the builder pattern: Div { H1("Title") }.Attr("class", "footer")

You can accomplish something similar in C++: single argument constructors let you skip the parentheses but that single argument can be an initializer_list, for example 'Tag(std::initializer_list<Tag> children)'. Now create s

Not a discrete one, but there are much better mobile Radeons available. Like the ones they put in the Mac Books. Would be nice if they offered that on the higher end models.

One difference seems to be that in Duktape you can only generate bytecode for one function at a time (duk_dump_function) while in Lua you can just load your whole script and dump it as bytecode (lua_dump). Sure, you can wrap your code in a

The Volkswagen e-Up and its slightly cheaper but otherwise identical counterparts from Škoda and Seat might fit the bill. They now come with a respectably sized battery (32kwh) and lower prices.

This concept is explored in a video by Isaac Arthur [1] about colonizing Jupiter (starting 26:35). The idea presented is to remove all the gas to end up with a nice rocky planet. [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQnvjGN91

You're not wrong but for me this kind of behavior just takes away the joy of technology. We don't completely own or control our devices. The services that we use all have hidden (or not so hidden) agendas and treat us as products.
