I am still confused. Can't you specify account name like so? runas /user:Administrator2

I would be interesting to know if this is due to their Kramer-vs-Kramer situation or it is simply their new policy.

You could argue the same thing about Scala too...

I think the main challenge of Chisel is the choice of language (Scala). The designers of Chisel don't speak the same "language" as your average hardware designer. Maybe this is why people have invested tons of hours to re-wri

Read again, its in the first section: "... feel like I’ve never been as productive an engineer as today; and yet, I notice that I’ve never worked less hours in a given week"

As a long time Emacs user I find your comment very offending. Emacs is nothing like Eclipse. If anything, I would compare Eclipse to Vim: bare bone its useless, with plug-ins its just too big and unstable. :)

Android accepts mouse/keyboard natively. If this is your main use case, why not a cheap Android tablet? (although I am not aware of any 12" Android tablet)

This just shows that a laptop is much better suited for programming than a tablet. Not a huge surprise really. Rudy Huyn uses a Surface Pro for development. I highly doubt he has even once started Visual Studio in tablet mode. But back to O

This product already exists, its called Microsoft SurfaceBook. The screen works as a detachable tablet, the keyboard contains more battery and a relatively powerful GPU. It is also expensive as hell.

In Android O Google plans to separate HAL, OS and customizations. This is a move from the "move fast and break things", which has allowed Google to make huge changes to Android but at the same time caused all kinds of problems for

Not sure how it works on iOS, but on Android apps tell OS what websites they can handle. This does have some security implications, so there is a mechanism for web sites to vouch for an app.

Until a month ago my main machine was a 2009 thinkpad. Would still be using it if I hadn't received a 2015 laptop for free. If it gets the job done buying a newer laptop is just vanity.

Jokes aside, you actually make a good point. github is loosing money like crazy while gitlab and bitbucket are actually profitable.

I don't think it is hate, more that people have learned to not put all their eggs in the same basket. Ask any Firebase user what they feel about this. Also, the more players we have the less proprietary web interfaces for things like i

This makes sense if you are using JavaScript or Python. But not Java, which is statically typed and an IDE that takes care of most of the stuff you mentioned. edit: java also has hot swapping of running code.

Kotlin syntax is a well-thought subset of Scala. The designers basically removed everything that made Scala slow to process and hard to optimize. As a side-effect, Kotlin is much easier to read and understand than Scala.

I love Java. I think it has changed the world for the better. That being said, I just can't get excited about new language features now that I have discovered Kotlin. It is essentially Java but with a much smarter compiler and a more m

Dumb questions, why is this a problem? t.hash(0.00000000000000002) == t.hash(0.00000000000000003) How often would this cause issues in real-world?
