I thought that was what criminal forfeiture laws were supposed to be about. Is there are reason why they aren't routinely applied in cases like this? Seems to be a much more productive use than typical civil forfeiture.

I don't think it is proposing that. From what I can tell their proposal is a (somewhat awkward) way of saying some countries will stick to their current summer (standard) time next time they switch to it. Other countries will stick wit

I'm a little skeptical that Dual Channel at 551 kbps results in noticeably better quality than Joint Stereo at 328 kbps as opposed to just using more bits encoding redundant information. At least for most music - eg stuff that isn'

Yeah, that wiki article is confusing. Broadcom Inc is the new company formed when Avago purchased Broadcom Corp , and Avago got it's start as a spin off of HP (by way of Agilent). However, the original Broadcom Corp is older than th

Broadcom didn't originate at HP, it was an early 90's startup. What happened is that a private equity firm bought some parts of HP that had been spun off and then that company later bought Broadcom.

If I understand they want a (globally unique, secure) GNS name and a (globally unique, human friendly) traditional DNS name which acts as an alias for the GNS name via CNAME. This can work, and sounds like a good compromise in that it lets

I don't think it will. NASA has contracted SpaceX Dragon flights at about $70M per seat, and the OIG estimates the cost to SpaceX at $55M per seat. If we are extremely optimistic about Starship and say it will cost the same amount to l
