Maybe because most questions about life are 'why?' questions and not 'how?' questions.

PDO isn't more secure if someone writes: $sql = "SELECT * FROM table WHERE id = " . $_GET["id"]; It's all about education. This does apply to any language.

Some time ago I listened to my old casette tapes. I was amazed by the 'CD' quality some still had. Tape is more durable than I thought. Also: most floppy disks have dust cleaners. So they are not affected by dusk that much. Also r

And a product might get multiple barcodes. I was a fan of natural keys but it is just too much trouble. For example you have to url encode everything when a key is used in the url. But sometimes I still use natural keys for tables with for

I never noticed those hairy ocelli in bee pictures. Seems like they are for detecting wind direction so they can stay on course in windy conditions.

Related to the topic: it took me almost 3 years to understand what a variable is and does. Looking back I can't understand why it took me so long. It's so obvious. Sometimes it's really hard to understand why some things are

I dont blame Microsoft, but yeah, they are a big reason desktop Linux failed: they just have a user friendlier OS, just like Apple. I've been using Linux for over 10 years at home, but man, all those issues, it's crazy. And every

It is a problem for now because at 0.1ppm we are still years away from getting enough lithium out of the seawater/ocean. Most lithium is 'mined' from salt (water) lakes by evaporation. Which is for now much easier and cheaper

" ... it might hit the sweet spot for studios that need a powerful desktop they can easily carry to the set." Isn't this why a lot of professionals turned to brands like Dell years ago?

PHP has object checking. This is why I started using value objects in PHP. The VO's I use trow exceptions when you construct them with some bad value. This is great because when you use for example a natural positive integer object you

I think you are right. But as a brush in a photo editor program it would be great. Then a used can 'mark' what areas need to be smoothed and the result will be great.

This also can happen in open software. So I don't think your comment is valid. Open software enables people to take a look inside to what is going on. It isn't a cure for bug free development.

Even if they sell 5 of them it will be a success I think. Tesla will gather a lot of (electric) truck data no one has. And at the time countries decide to ban polluting trucks Tesla will release an upgraded model.
