Curious if anyone is familiar: if you could purchase these for your home and all your devices that have wifi chips also have 5g chips, how do you choose between 5g and wifi for your home? Would 5g make sense in wifi-like deployments? Any re

oh man. I need to find some time to write about how bad it is. The gnarliness spans the whole stack. From weird java-applet like API escalation behavior if chrome is detected (e.g. Google properties feature gate a ton around this) to how th

I think part of this discussion needs to be that Firefox, while open source, doesn't provide footing for the community to build browser forks the way Chromium does. This sort of open usage, ironically, feels very fitting to the spirit

Interesting it’s so much faster, the code looks very natural and trickless besides the richobject check (at least at first glance). Wonder what everyone else is doing to make it slow. Also curious what mobx and reacts object diffing looks l

Maybe they mean syntax? I guess you could compare it to say syntax like "char 'a' + either char 'b' or char 'c' + char 'd'". I like regex as is but that would def make it more approachable f

I tried it on IntelliJ recently. The examples I tested blew my mind. Yet, I think there are two things that need to improve to get me to use it regularly (it will get there!): - less than perfect import/types/var suggestions that

I was randomly curious how long it would take to render a full movie at the quality of that forest image, which absolutely blew my mind. At 24fps, a 2h movie has 172800 frames. 21,970,310 M1 seconds or 8.5 M1 months. Which is less than I wa

Anyone know how this compares to the M1 Pro? Curious if it's worth the additional $400. The search doesn't seem to allow exact matches.

While "AWS Alternative" sets the bar really high, I've always thought that it'd be cool to have a coreutils for web stuff. Things like weather, geo-ip, geocoding, translation, currency, basic signup forms, etc could well

I've used this to create recorded terminals to Kubernetes for an internal app I built. We'd basically proxy the kube exec socket endpoint with a write log so we can playback what folks did. Worked wonderfully. Thanks maintainers!

Are you in the US? There is usually a stud every 16 inches or so here, which obviates the need for too many anchors. Excluding small picture frames, I can't think of a use case where I'd rely on an anchor (you usually bridge studs

Fair enough. The browser is built because we think browsers should do a lot more than just tabs and bookmarks, so it wasn't enough to just add an extension (we have many more features that we wanted a well integrated experience around)

Good Q! It is something we are looking at/trying. It's a bit more complex as you have to have a pool of suspended renderers to swap the html into as the user switches tabs (the HTML still needs to be properly sandboxed). Then you
