I implemented something similar years ago, but much simpler/less sophisticated. Unicode has two non-printing space characters: zero-width space (U+200B) and zero-width joiner (U+200D). This allows you to encode arbitrary data in binary

Not bad! But as far as I can tell, this is just white/black - but Bad Apple!! is actually greyscale (especially noticeable in the "flames in hands" scene).

It says that in the README: "The frame holds two P1.875 128x64 LED panels" P1.875 refers to the pitch (distance between LEDs), seems to be a standard HUB75 panel.

My KSP experience supports your view :) Parts that were sped up have their opposite orbital side raised, parts that got slowed will have their opposite orbital side lowered.

Rolling keys is more of an RF thing, fobs are NFC or RFID (rolling key is still vulnerable to a simple replay attack). For NFC/RFID it depends entirely on the card. You can easily clone Mifare Classic, but on newer ones there's no

Python also brings a wrapper for curses (atleast under *nix). Curses in itself needs so much boilerplate that I usually just go to the libraries rich or textual instead.
