The tests against Seibel's book were meant as a quick way of assessing the major differences with ANSI. But books like this are also a way of exercising the part of the language that is used in practice. We do mean to follow up with mo

I addressed this in my reply to slayerjain above. As a hobbyist I don't mind projects that may be infrequently maintained or abandoned.

I'm a hobby programmer with no production requirements, so I often use projects maintained by only one developer who may not be much active if all all. Also, since I program in Lisp, code updated a few years ago may still be good.

Stars, forks, algorithmic rankings, or other popularity metrics are actually the least important things for me. Assuming a project does what I need, what I'm interested in is the availability of good documentation, how understandable t

I'm sure Mathematica is great even if I never tried it. But, to me, a large part of the appeal of a Lisp Machine environment is Lisp itself. I mean the real thing with parantheses and all, not a language inspired by, derived from, or r

Thanks. Although it's not ANSI Common Lisp compliant and misses modern niceties, I love a Lisp Machine environment like Medley because it's a self-contained, self-sufficient, coherent computing universe. A rich space for my person

In a Lisp-aware editor, such as Emacs with SLIME, you can send to the REPL for evaluation an arbitrary block of text that contains multiple separate expressions. See for example M-x slime-eval-region (C-c C-r ).
