I'm tempted to notify all my friends, delete my account, recreate it under a pseudonym, and re-add my friends, while being much more careful this time around with what I share and my privacy settings.

Seems like they hitched their wagon to the wrong horse going with WP7 over Android.

If you're not looking for a game industry job (Gamasutra), where do you suggest someone should look for a low-level job?

Another issue that wasn't covered is duplication of effort. Imagine working on a feature for weeks, only to realize that other people with more experience and knowledge of the project are doing the same work. What's the incentive from the m

You're correct, but the parent brings up a valid (if a bit off topic) point. Eye candy is great, but Javascript has often been a vector for privacy issues. Hence the popularity of Noscript and most browsers having an option to disable Javas

The problem is that people are attracted to (real) infographics. Using a more accurate word means fewer visitors. So, sadly, I doubt it'll ever happen.

I have the impression that new grads aren't attracted to low-level programming because of the greater proportion of higher level programming jobs. I think low level jobs need more visibility. Perhaps a monthly "Who's Hiring" thread for low-

I was most surprised by the average age of founders. Early 30s is about a decade older than the media let me to believe. Perhaps the median age would've been a more insightful statistic.

You may not be trying to make a point about bubbles, but I think many of us will come to the same conclusion. Come to think of it, didn't the last bubble start very similarly too? One over-inflated stock begat another and another..

Indeed. My "OLPC" was a C64. I was terrible in school, but now I have a great career. I wouldn't call my parent buying me a C64 a bad investment.
