On average I work between 4.5-5.25 hours per day. I divide my working time in 45 min. sessions with 10 min. breaks in between. To be honest I don’t always take the breaks, which is wrong and is something I need to improve. During a break I

I‘m reading „The Plague“ right now, after reading „The Stranger“ some months ago. I’m really impressed by his ability to put moods, emotional states and state of mind in general into words.

But all parts do try and eventually will use as much as the resources the west uses. In fact, as the population on the west declines, the population in other parts of the world will make up for the resources demand. We will deplete all reso

You’re missing something. Samsung has a large enterprise customer base. Apart from Google’s semi-working enterprise stuff, theirs is probably the only successful Android enterprise solution to date. Samsung Knox is not to be underestimated.

So, do you want to be a manager or architect? I left my manager job years ago to go back to programming in a tiny team. Quite happy with my decision. The only reason I can think of changing my position is more money, but I’m fine for now. A

Cool. I’d be interested in any hints about bypassing Akamai’s protection bot. They use some annoying js machinery to detect browser sensors and stuff. Stumbled on that some days ago. Quite annoying and there doesn’t seem to be a easy hack.

Years ago I read “The Temple In Men” by R.A. Lubicz. A hard to read book, much of which I now only vaguely remember. One thing that stood out was that ancient Egyptians were fascinated with symbolism, especially in the context of the human

Putting your rhetoric aside, you're mostly right. As someone that maintained an old Java project, a NPE was the most common type of issue that I had to deal with. The code was riddled with them and business logic often broke leaving me

From the article: "I paid upfront for a legal assessment of my case. But what I got was just the information I sent them, reworded and sent back to me." Is this a common practice? I recently reached out to an online attorney servi

No, I don't know or have an exact opinion about Wall St. About social media, I think it's mostly a generational issue in governance. Those generations in power are still very little informed about the immense power of social media

Well, in all fairness I switched from Maven to Gradle exactly due to low performance. Gradle gave my projects a boost of 3 to 7 times faster build speeds. RAM is not an issue for my setups, although I can’t recall how Maven held there again

Nice. I'm genuinely interested. I do not work on Android apps, but I use Gradle in semi-large web app and lots of fat jar projects. Do you happen to know if there are any perf measurements that outline Gradle is slower?
