In the beginning validation is more important than maintenance. A one-week project is kind of the equivalent of a developed Lean landing page; it's just there to see if the idea will begin to stick.

It takes a lot more than 10 billion euros of infrastructure to create a Silicon Valley. Else, China would have about ten of them by now.

Several remedies have been brought up already. Every day there's a blog post about what America must do to become "more innovative", and none of the recommendations are taken. While the details are important, I believe that the first thing

Competition is only real when a significant number of your potential customers know of it. It sounds like a relatively small percentage of people know of mindbodyonline (obviously the groups you have talked to haven't). So the only danger

Peter Drucker has claimed the lack of Middle Managers to be responsible for the early declines of Ford and Edison Electric Company. Their presence itself isn't a failure, it's their role and management.

"In the 19th, with trains, they reached 60 mph. In the 20th, with jet aircraft, we could travel at 600 mph. Can we expect 6,000 mph in the 21st?" The 21st century still has 90 years left in it. We have no idea what technologies will emerg

So, "The idea is to empower people, let them take risks and give them more authority over decisions," and yet, "The reorganization also puts Page firmly in charge of Google and its performance in much the same way Steve Jobs runs Apple.".

I'm frustrated that so many VCs want to make a "Next Silicon Valley" in New York, Chicago, or another part of the U.S. The rest of the world needs one significantly more.

These problems have nothing to do with software. Every major company that makes innovative products have had this issue for the last few hundred years. That also means that ways to fix or prevent it have been researched extensibly. It's d
