I think it's possible, as long as you don't try to be as general purpose as C, Rust or Python. If you try to cater to a lot of use cases, you will invariably compromise on either speed, simplicity and perhaps even "safety&quo

As someone who spent a number of years in finance, finance is really not that different to the other industries you mentioned.

I think you're the first person I know who likes the look of that car. Edit: For over 100k GBP, there are other significantly better options.

Mercedes has been disappointing me over and over again. Their car body designs are becoming difficult to look at, especially the electric range (the EQS is one ugly car). Their software is HORRENDOUSLY buggy. Their 2007 S-Class is a smoothe

Not really. If my school produced murderers, we'd definitely know about it. It would be a big deal. Like certain notorious schools in inner city London. There were some crazy nut cases in my comprehensive school in the north of England

The choice is with the user. The onus is on the developer to build something good and efficient, otherwise people will not use the product. If the user is forced to use a terrible government website (as we all are from time to time), removi

I would happily build a service that simply took all the JS heavy sites people visit and present them as basic HTML. Unfortunately, I don't think there'd be enough takers to make it a viable product. Information for free, without

People can choose to avoid JS if they want, but a lot of users get a HUGE amount of value from JS. The web is an app delivery platform now, not just an information delivery platform. Plus, we have a lot of processing power on the client s

I had a "long vegetal" burger in Spain from Burger King. Basically an imitation chicken burger. And it was awesome! And Spanish people were ordering it too. In the UK, the meat free alternatives are pretty great too. Honestly, it

I think it's just because Apple did it and people got used to it. There are a lot of things I personally hate about the functional aspects of Apple's UI components, even though they look very pretty.

This seems like a last resort API. I would much rather have the information in a more convenient form than a screenshot... Also, some apps (e.g. banking apps), do not allow you to take screenshots on certain devices.

Safari 7-8 years ago was potentially worse than IE in my opinion. Totally broken indexedDB implementation. Random rendering issues, especially if you happen to ever use z-index. Hacks needed to get the most basic events to trigger. Idiotic
