I would gladly pay the ~$100/month required for decent cable (as in, not basic) to have complete access to all the latest TV shows on-demand. Charge ~$10 extra for Netflix-like access to movies and HBO-level shows. With the current

Honestly, iOS got it first because it's used by more people. And it's been clear for the last few years that Apple doesn't have two proper teams working on each OS. Which is ridiculous for a company of Apple's size.

I'll agree here. The $50/month I'm saving by not having cable included isn't really going toward savings, and we could certainly afford it. It's just that it had a detrimental effect: we'd watch things that w

Is that "room full of people staring at 4" screens" focused on the same event, such as a football game? Because, otherwise, the purpose of having all those people in the same is defeated. The point is a shared experience, n

Apple didn't create walled gardens either. Who created LLVM and WebKit is irrelevant. Those projects wouldn't be as awesome as they are now without Apple's efforts and money.

I'm 30 now, and a little better at it, but I'm still relatively shitty with timed thinking exercises, and being graded in general. Reminds me of university where I did poorly on exams. I'd have graduated with a much better

They should probably try to define some sort of support schedule. The current setup of "let's support everything under the sun from the last 10 years" is unsustainable, but they seem to want to continue with that.

If I'm donating I would like to know exactly where the money is going, and what options have already been explored. OpenBSD should have referenced, full documentation about these things if they want to maximize donations. Apparently,

I feel like it's useful to point that OpenBSD won't say exactly why the bill is so high, and apparently they don't have open accounting. That bothers me a bit. Link to relevant reddit comment thread: http://www.

Word 2011 (OS X) offers OneNote-like functionality if you choose the Notebook view. Defaults to list, auto-headings, and it even lets you doodle in the margins. That's all I ever did in OneNote, so I'm not sure how feature compl

MS Word on OS X has very OneNote-like features, just choose the Notebook view. I haven't used OneNote proper in a very long time (2007?), but notebook view Word 2011 does automatic lists and you can even doodle. Might be worth a look.
