The key here is that they only recently started breaking even on the PS3, and it was released in 2006. I think they've learned their lesson.

How old is your Mac? Flash has hardware acceleration since 2010 or so. And if you do have a Mac built in the last 4 years, you're not missing much by using Flash. Difference in CPU usage is negligible and I haven't used an in-bro

It has LTE, which might not be worth an upgrade from the Nexus 4 if you already have it, but now the Nexus line is worth buying... for me anyway.

I think the happy medium is one of the browser extensions. I'm using "Hacker New" for Chrome, and it adds basic nice things like default larger text, comment collapsing. Of course, I get used to it and become annoyed if I d

This is one of the key factors. I think the other is that when they shove a high density display into a phone/tablet, it's simply a bigger deal. When Apple finally does sell a 4k monitor, they won't be selling mountains of t

As annoyed as I am by the reactions here (uTorrent didn't maliciously install adware behind anyone's back), I moved to Mac in 2009 and stayed there until I decided to build an HTPC for my living room. First thing I did was instal

Wow. People are actually angry in that thread because they didn't look closely at the setup steps. Let's be clear here: the user was still given a choice, but the user "trusted" uTorrent to not force them to make one.

AMC's biggest shows are about to end and they can't seem to create another hit. Also, as others here have pointed out, AMC doesn't actually make those shows.

It makes sense on Windows and OS X too. I have a couple sites where I have multiple accounts, and it's nice to just fire up another instance of Chrome where different credentials are saved. Different extensions per account and so on.

Why would I do that when I want to use Chrome only? I can have both my Github accounts logged in, both of my gmails, etc, and get my favorite interface. I'm glad I don't have to launch Firefox or Safari anymore.

They're not avoiding Netflix only because it doesn't pay enough, they're avoiding it because the medium threatens pretty much everything about their current way of doing business. It's deeper than just money.

Yeah, income tax is mostly the same, but sales tax is killer. I pay nearly double sales tax in my current province compared to my home state/city... large tech purchases become a couple hundred dollars more.

> You'll never pay a dime of US taxes, That's not true. You can only get an exclusion on the first $97,000USD you make outside of the US, so YMMV. In Vancouver or Toronto, you'd be pushing it.

The U.S. doesn't need any examples to follow since the machine seems to be running quite well. If anything Canada needs to set itself apart because we're losing too many entrepreneurs to the pretty neighbour below us.

Canada's corporate tax rate is that low because of the much more attractive neighbour downstairs. It's a shame, because it really doesn't keep people/businesses from leaving Canada anyway.

You are describing all of Daft Punk's previous work. They made their career taking samples and stretching them out to make 3 minute songs. The new album's a bit different in that they used mostly original writing and instrumen

Exactly. Being closed isn't the problem, it's just effectively unsupported on any platform that's not Windows. Mono's nice and all, but it's not complete, and it never will be.
