It's no different with private subjective experience - it's just that most people lack precise language to describe "transcendent" experiences. For example, there are mind states called "jhana" that can be reli

What if your assumption that things happen outside "the realm of your own senses" is false? The color blue does not exist outside the realm of our senses. Neither does the concept of a "table".

I experience reality as This present consciousness. I used to experience a "normal", "physical" reality and now my experience is beyond that. If you are curious how such perspectives may evolve, you might find this inter

My "epidemic" comment comes from my other life as an MMA coach. I observe men transformed every day from low energy insecure shadows into strong emotionally healthy men. The worst cases tend to be desk-bound intellectuals like ma

I've had it tested. Now, with some experience I can self gauge by how I feel. I do not take exogenous testosterone but will be open to it as I age if healthy lifestyle can't keep it up.

IMO reasonably high testosterone levels is one of the best feelings in the world. I run a startup and during the inevitable valleys where my self-perceived status is low, my testosterone falls off a cliff. I've suffered from low testos

Instead of thinking of it as parsing queries, think about it as nested RPC. It's quite reasonable for an implementor to set a time limit or call limit to keep algorithmic complexity attacks under control.

This feels very heavy and not as useful as other models such as Markov Decision Processes. Can someone enlighten me where this would be more convenient to reason with than an MDP?

Passive income is hard, becoming an AirBnB host is easy. In July I made $5700 on my 3 bd house in a tourist town. If you're a solo developer you likely have the flexibility to get kicked out of your house when you have a guest.

Here is a much simpler approach that works for many problems: minimize the distance to a desired multi-variate state. https://medium.com/@justchap/using-the-pythagorean-theorem-t...

Interleaving the FEC can also avoid bursts. The tradeoff is the more you interleave, the higher the latency on reconstruction. They could do something like using round trip time to calculate the number of packets in the air and interleave

I disagree with your conclusion. In my app, 7 Second Meditation, I am constantly authoring new content. It uses improve.ai to show that new content to some small number of users and learn how they react to that content. The learning happen

My project, improve.ai, is a first concrete step forward in this direction. We start by replacing if/then statements with a decide() function and some goal events. I've used this approach in my app, 7 Second Meditation, to achieve

Real estate is a local competition among capital. As long as you have a lot of reasonably wealthy people in the area, prices will stay very high. I don't see the Silicon Valley startup machine quitting anytime soon.
