Or you can script GIMP to do it directly. GIMP in fact already includes a script for drawing shapes under Filters->Render->gfig. The UI could stand to be improved but the feature is basically already there.

Anything worth making into an ASIC these days is complicated enough that it is going to take way more than a few engineers and a few months. For 28nm you are paying the fab in the ballpark of a million dollars to tapeout a design.

HP at least was already doing it on their laptops. Though at least some models later disabled the lock with BIOS updates.

Most of the bugs linked in the "we might do this at some point in the future" part of the roadmap are 15+ years old. Adjustment layers are supposedly coming in 3.2. Who knows how many years that'll take though.

A lot of these projects Google has killed were very obviously going to be non-profitable from the start because they had no business model. Take Allo or Wave for example, how was a messaging app with no ads supposed to make any money even i

Modern xray machines deliver low enough radiation doses that they could probably be used for this reasonably safely. They are routinely used in medical settings after all, but I suspect it would still be a liability nightmare. But there&#x2

The lowest dose found to have any effect in rats would be equivalent to eating ~5kg of uncooked flour per day, every day. I do not think many people eat anything remotely close to that amount of raw dough.

What is the "correct" handling of swap on an HDD supposed to be like? It is going to be slow no matter what you do. Windows also locks up for long periods of time if you use up almost all the RAM and it has to swap to HDD.
