The duplicated amplifier as ground design is pointless and pretty much strictly worse than using a normal ground, but has somehow become semi-popular among certain misguided parts of the audiophile community. Good article about it here[1].

An old GM plant near my city got bought up by a Chinese glass manufacturing company. They make windshields and ironically sell them to GM.

The only way you are going to get 5+ years of fast security updates outside of iPhones is unofficial Android ROMs such as LineageOS. My 6 year old Nexus 4 still gets updates that way.

Sort of. The Xenos GPU in the Xbox 360 was the first with a unified shader architecture but the 8800 was indeed the first one for PC. If you want to get a little more pedantic, GPGPU has been around in some form as long as programmable shad

Currently webrender only works on nightly builds unless you have NVIDIA hardware on Windows 10 (not considered mature enough on other hardware/platforms yet). But to enable it you turn on gfx.webrender.all in about:config.

Literally 99.99% of Firefox users did not use the built in RSS support[1]. I love RSS! I also never used the built in Firefox RSS support because it was not very good. Mozilla also compiled a helpful list of alternative RSS readers for the

Firefox has some nice features that are fundamentally at odds with Google's business model so highly unlikely to ever land in Chrome. Reader mode, container tabs, and tracking protection are probably my favorites.

Ah yes, my bad. The lawsuit in that article is indeed specifically about DRAM. A lot of the reporting on this mixes them up for some reason. But the DRAM and NAND industries are largely the same companies and both have been under investigat

The whole NAND industry is suspected to be engaging in price fixing/collusion[1]. They've already been caught doing it in the past and paid out a $300 million settlement over it back in 2006. [1] https://bit-tech.net&#x

That's really interesting, seems like they licensed the Motif API and ported the whole thing over to DOS. Because the normal Motif is very much tied to UNIX and X.

The keys are not unlimited. They cracked down on this quite a while ago. You have to submit a request for keys which Valve may or may not approve, and they will definitely not approve a request for 25K keys on a game you have sold 5K copies
