This lacks a lot of the nice things that makes Medium great. Just off the top: 1) The sidebar's navigation feels bloated and useless at the same time. Needs to be tighter and more useful. Why not put the last five posts' title in

No reason it wouldn't work on a projector right? I was going to use a Raspberry Pi to do the same thing, but this is much simpler. Do you know when is it coming to Canada? I'd prefer not to go through the hassle of getting a reshi

The author is being deceitful with his chart and it throws this entire article in question. Just because you draw a line and call it stagnation doesn't mean it is. The chart is a monthly change in employment not cumulative growth. http://r

Damn. I was going to use Parse for my app, but now I will not. What are some of the alternatives out there?

I would be interested to see how you hooked up Ember Data to Parse.

If somebody were doing a browser-based game there is absolutely a place for this. Sure, general apps should not do this, but I wouldn't say you should never do this. That said, the performance on this is too poor to use as is.

I would never do this for a website or web app, but if they could make it code emails that work in every email client I would use it immediately. I don't care how shitty the code looks.

www.houzz.com is pretty good. They don't really help you design it so much as give you ideas, and very often items in the photos are tagger with links where to buy them.

For an app meant for the creative types, GIMP sure is ugly. I also thought we were over mystery meat navigation, but it seems to be going strong at GIMP. Not only does having icons for each tab make it look incredibly busy, but it also make

Box has very confusing pricing for personal use. Why limit file size? Makes no sense. They are also 2x times as expensive as Dropbox. $20/month only gets me 50gb on box.com, whereas I get 100gb with dropbox. And no annoying file size restri

Cocoa UI isn't that great. The Photoshop UI is much more compact and suitable for the kind of application it is. Turning it into a cocoa app would degrade the experience considerably.

I think the coolness about hating Photoshop comes from Photoshop on Mac being a 2nd class citizen. The Windows version of Photoshop is better in every way. It is very stable and has an excellent UI (though a few of the older dialogs could u

I believe that is against the terms of service for Visa and Mastercard. If you were to offer such a discount they would simply cut off your access to credit cards. Edit: From the visa terms ( http://www.fivecentnickel.com/2010/02/26/visa-cr

Because the merchant in question may not accept credit cards. For example, if I do contract work and invoice you for $8,000 I except the full amount. So if you were to pay with credit card it would cost you an extra 2.9%/$232 to pay me.
