Thanks for the link. It looks like "Journey to the Savage Planet" fits the bill fairly well. It's funny, I've used Steam recommendations in the past but haven't had too much luck before now.

A Metroid Prime ripoff. No arm cannon, though. I'd like it to have a focus on atmosphere, isolation, collecting data, and lore that's all about technology and the sciences (ie biology, even fake biology is ok, like in MP1). Maybe

I think certain songs provoke an increased response from me, after I've listened to them a few times already. For example, Warning's "Watching From A Distance" [0] (c/w metal with sad themes) gives me that feeling a

It's 2022, and we're throwing away researchers at the cutting edge just because of Internet articles, tweets and outrage over stories we were never a part of. (but, ironically, I haven't heard of this guy's story until t

Ironically, the website is called "timeanddate" and I'm still confused by the times on this site. Perhaps I'm reading it wrong... let me know. Right now it's 12:53 PST, and the countdown says it's about 5hr 38

Night Call is in the ballpark, at least. You play as a taxi driver, budgeting your taxi trips, passengers, gas money, money for other things (ie newspapers or clues) to help solve a whodunnit mystery.

If one starts in Seattle, I'd expect them to end up at Microsoft, Expedia, other FANGs maybe, among other co's. Assuming they're not burned out.

Even in 2022, having worked there, I guarantee that the Microsoft org chart meme [0] is still true. I do agree in-person talking would have helped. [0] https://assets.sbnation.com/assets/2907963/microsoftguns.jpg

Earlier in the article, the author does call out that it's bad code, so he's not entirely blaming these companies. Anyway: You should not be afraid of thinking about what each party could have done better. Not just yourself, but

Thoughts on the following idea? I think Google's incentives have a problem similar to the incentives of any other company: It's open-ended, and possible to game everything. Whether promotions are based on the "hard problems&q

I think this article could use a bit more info about protecting against injury. For example, I'm sure a podiatrist or physical therapist would have a number of things to add about finding a good shoe, or insoles/orthotics, or musc

And just like that, Twitter engineering might somehow develop the same poor culture and work-life balance as Tesla and SpaceX. If I was there, I'd be groaning at this news.
