Dennys can benefit from higher egg prices if they can lock in long term contracts with suppliers for lower egg prices when smaller companies selling directly to consumers can't. I think that realistically, companies compete against eac

The refurb M3 Ultra with 512gb of ram went from $8k+ to $14k+.

That's a great price for either, especially for DDR4. Only one stick though, right?

Do you have any links? I remember DDR3 sodimms being maybe $.25-$.50/gb for low capacity (4gb), but 8gb+ sticks were always $.80-1+/gb.

This, like the fluctuations in ram prices, feels familiar. I wouldn't be surprised if lower hardware prices and weaker demand for everything are more likely to lead to more feature rich products to encourage sales, and higher hardware

Oh yeah, I doubt anyone who makes a large order this year will get their entire order filled given that Tesla is ramping production. Drone footage shows new builds, but they obviously need to get volume up. https://youtu.be/

One company ordered 370 trucks last month. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-massive-order-semi-370-units... 2026 production is estimated to be 5k-15k. https://sherwood.news/tech/what-we-know-about-teslas

It's likely not true. We're certainly not as far along with the electrification of heavy duty trucks as we are with light duty cars, but the Semi seems fairly popular where it's suitable. https://x.com/Tesla&#

Most/all of them. Even cybertruck sold more in 2025 (20k) versus S+X (30k combined), and that's after cybertruck sales were more or less cut in half.

What you're saying about Semi and cybercab is what everyone said about S/X and 3/Y. https://www.wired.com/2009/10/audi-etron/ They might might fail, but I wouldn't bet on it. Also cybercab

That's what many said when they were ramping the S/X, the 3/Y, and energy storage. https://www.wired.com/2009/10/audi-etron/ That doesn't mean they can't make a mess of things all by

It might be. It might not be. That's where the money is or isn't. I think the mature part of their business is 3/Y, energy storage, and maybe cybertruck, although I also think it's too early to call it because it depends

PE isn't a great way to value a company in their growth phase. Amazon's PE in 2013 was 3000+, but you'd still be up almost 20x if you purchased their stock back then. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing&

Tesla's EV is worth about the same as the the EV of the term biggest car companies combined. It is highly speculative, but their current new product is the Semi, which started volume production last month, and they have the robotaxi an

It depends on the benchmark/workload. There isn't much of a difference per core between the M1 (3.7k) and A18 pro (4k) based on passmark, but I'm sure the A18 does much better in AI/similar stuff.

It probably could, but I imagine a LIDAR system would need a similar (large) amount of training data to enable effective self-calibration across a wide variety of situations. At some point, with enough sensor suites, we might be able to gen

I wouldn't say that. I think it's a proportional response to US tarriffs/changes in foreign policy under the current administration, just like the cancellation of defence contracts/orders. It's unrealistic for any n

That's also a benefit to some degree. Closed source likely has as many vulnerabilities and bugs, but if AI can't find them it'll progressively become less secure.

I've used whatpulse on macOS, but it's intrusive in terms of permissions/license/etc. I tried a couple other open source keystroke loggers, but they were out of date. Linux/windows might have better options, but I h

I think so. IMO, at this point, AI systems should also be using expert/rule systems to validate their output to avoid bad/obvious mistakes. In ambiguous/complex cases, I don't think so, but in certain circumstances, the

It depends on what/how you're comparing. Core to core, according to CPU benchmark, the M1 is 5800 vs the M5 at 3600, so we're still not quite to 2x. Overall system performance is better at about 2x improvement thanks to extra

Hopefully. With that said, when a country makes too many poor decisions, independently or relative to other countries, it'll eventually bite them in the butt.

As an anecdote, the two I've had are fairly reliable. The older one did have more issues (4+ in warranty?, 3 out of warranty), but they've all been small/manageable so far.
