There would be all kinds of repeated actions, obtaining counter-intuitive objects to get past obscure guards in a way that doesn't quite make sense. I know this because our best (not sarcasm) humans have done the same thing for years.

I did the same thing for the same reason with the same result and am just posting this to concur with what you said: everyone should do this while you are young and have your memory. Which makes me thing: we are relatively young and have

I've spent a lot of money on several HN posts because I came across a service or product that was advertised, so pretty sure people on the other end made some money. (And I was happy to do so.)

I have not tried it, but I believe I could download it and set up the app based on the readme. I would not be confident using it, but I'll give it a try.

I was going to say you should offer a tutorial around how this can be used. It is much more useful to have a walk through when people put out such products. And then I decided not to say that because it is up to you how to spend your time a

This was much more interesting than I expected. I have always been interested in how other people work, prioritize, think, their workflow and tools, and this really spoke to that interest. Here were some surprises: -- I was much more intere

Agree with whomever said options but it should be noted that the higher derivatives “lurk” in the lower ones in real life. Example: a simple change in position means that the object had to move or experience two changes in velocity (startin

Same story as pretty much everyone else here (c64, most of these same books, typed basic) I just looked back and I think these are some of the best written books. Thinking on it there were probably dozens of programming books but these endu

Absolutely. But in this case the author claims he does know which half. That’s what the whole paper is really about: figuring out which half. (Not saying you have to agree with him)

The point is not to stop investing in VC, but stop investing in the subset of VC that doesn’t measure up to your otherwise available investments. (About half the shots). You can redistribute the same amount of money into the other (better)

The paper doesn’t say VC risk is high. It says that 50% of the investments are predictably bad and can be safely dropped because there are better risk adjusted alternatives in the public markets (stocks or bonds) and dropping these would bo

Almost all the comments are from those who have tried it. (And most people apparently love it). Why? Because it never tells you what it does. It’s “front end tooling” which could be anything from a new JS target language to a framework to s

And as a corollary: if you have those, and the company is investable, it follows that what changes in a "down" market is the valuation. The change is dramatic and fast though, and minds take a beat to catch up to the market.
