Since they mention education but only seem to have mostly bad things to say about audiobooks in that context (unless I missed something, I skimmed that part) I would like to add how this has changed dyslexics relationship with education and

Oh wow, cool. Have been hoping for another concaternative functional language. It really feels like one of those underrepresented language types. Always hoped to create something in Kitten but never got around to it and the development was

I really don't think these languages should be set opposite to one another as much as they do. I mean, I get why they are. They take up almost the same position and have quite different ways to view security and lang design. And they b

It isn't very weird that these smart surveillance thingys go off on the wrong things. What do they have to train those AI? They can't have that many "sound bites" from actual school shootings right? Maybe they actually h

Awk is kinda my new favorite scripting language. I've been using it for the master's thesis I'm writing and am amazed at how quickly I can script in it. And how easy it was to learn. From the beginning out results-visualisat

I think there was a conference for Rust in China a month ago or something and it seemed to have ok turnout, but I have no real data on it. Just as a small answer to your "FP and small languages" question.

I wonder how far you could go with a language game Zachtronics - style before Nintendo would shut you down. I'm betting it would probably be all good until you allowed interfacing with some more basic underlying systems to the language

Oh awesome. I found concaternative languages when I was trying to learn Forth last year. Forth was almost scary with how little syntax there is. Not even Lisp really felt like that. Types felt a great thing to get a bit more stability into

Really like what I read here. Simplifying the language is a great thing and really shows that they want to keep the language as simple as possible. Furthermore I love the mentions of 2 other languages I love. Both Pony and Zig are great. Am

I very much agree. Look at it this way: the more we practice and keep our languages truly complex, the longer it will take for machines to take our jobs. I even take it one step further and actively try to confuse the machines by training m
