I had an experience as a teenager as well and "must produce fire" wasn't a meaningful obstacle. Of course your mileage may vary but lighters (and if not that, then matches certainly) were and are commonly found in households,

Lighters are inexpensive, common, and last a long time. Juul pods are age-restricted consumables, just like cigarettes. I think the lack of odor, more agreeable flavors, and less health or social stigma are more important. I doubt e-cigaret

USD works as currency because it has a pretty stable and small rate of deflation, a property that the fed tries to maintain. It works to trade value and gives a subtle nudge to promote trading. Bitcoin had the mission statement of being a c

Any means of price discrimination is likely to have some user-hostile effects along the edges. It is, in essence, DRM and if an authorized user interacts with it at all, it won't be pleasant. Or, in other words, any strategy of region-

Lossless unqualified would mean lossless: recoverable exactly bit-for-bit, like PNG, FLAC, or ZIP. The only reason to describe a system as visually or perceptually lossless is because the encoding is lossy, even if very good, like an MP3 or

It is practical. The light could be designed to not be disruptive even to a baby, or you could build a physical switch into the device to turn the light off. It just shouldn't be remotely configurable because that undermines some of th

This is badly conflating things. Few care how any particular family divides up their responsibilities. It's only the gender part, the lack of agency, that is criticized. A woman shouldn't have to be a homemaker and a man shouldn&#
