That depends on how much we slow it down; after a vaccine (in a year), we DO drastically change the number infected. Other countries (South Korea, NZ, Taiwan) have changed the number infected, and will probably end up with much fewer infect

With some luck, if we isolate long enough, we either get a vaccine or a somewhat effective treatment before everyone gets infected. At least we will know what doesn’t work, so you won’t get chloroquine etc unnecessarily

Except that ... Benghazi was an error, no corruption ; the IRS did not target conservative groups, Obamacare did not mandate you change doctors in any way .. Normally I assume it is stupidity rather than malice, but now ...

'Obvious' != True Now we have some evidence that it is probably true; we still need a bunch more studies to make sure this is reproducible and robust for a variety of circumstances. Yay science !

I'm not sure about ascribing desires to 'the system', but let me do so. The system does try to keep some/many people poor and uneducated in many different ways. If you want the most egregious examples, look at how we tre

We appear to have a 20-ish-year boom/bust cycle in CS enrollment; Eric Roberts (and some others in CS education) have been working on this for a while; there's a ton of resources at https://cs.stanford.edu/people&#
