It’s too expensive. Every other option is several times cheaper. It’ll never get less expensive because the inherent risks necessitate the expense. These expenses are mostly related to having to plan, construct, and operate a plant with per

Also the issue of mining the uranium, which is horrible for the areas mined. Nuclear isn’t an option because of financial reasons anyways and probably never will be, and that’s as a person who loves nuclear and used to be a budding nuclear

I have a “select choice fam unl 50tt” which I’ve had forever (I buy phones outright to keep it) and still pay $85 for two lines. I don’t see any price increases for my account recently. I have unlimited everything except 5gb of tethering. I

I was thinking they could have solved this earlier, perhaps if they had found they couldn’t plug wells properly decades ago, they might not have allowed as much drilling, or would have researched and experimented sooner to figure it out. My

Socialism is alive and well for corporations. Oil wells should be fully plugged and dealt with before they can be abandoned by the companies pumping them. Instead, private land owners and taxpayers foot the bill. Disgusting.

I just bought a house at 40, so I guess I’m allowed to retire at 70? I’ll be dead before then at this rate.

I’d love to see a double blind study done on this device and others like it, I figure maybe there’s a placebo effect, or perhaps many of the people sat still for half an hour which allowed them “time off” mentally, as if meditating. I don’t

It’s this kind of stupid biased comment that I hate the most. What logic says that these folks were “poor performers” rather than Microsoft hiring too many people? Everyone knows that in massive layoffs these companies aren’t competent enou

Here we were, fighting against the government doing this sort of thing, and we let the big corps start it up instead. I’m not happy to see this sort of thing. What can we seriously do to protect our privacy these days, do we even have priva

The only reason I use windows is for gaming, and I’m trying to figure out how to switch away as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I do sim racing, so it’ll be hard to get the peripherals working properly. I’m really sick of Microsoft lately

They think she’s a drunk, she says she isn’t, the easiest way to find out is ensure she can’t have alcohol. Not that hard to do at a hospital! Seems like a simple idea to me. Remember, it took several visits to figure this out, and no one e

She came in, the doctor asked if she had drunk alcohol, she says no, what more is there to understand? This doctor didn’t listen. If he had, even if he didn’t know about this specific disease, he could have started tests and brought in othe

“I haven’t drank alcohol.” The doctors interpretation: “She’s clearly a drunk.” Like I said elsewhere, a night in the hospital would have solved this immediately, but the doctor was unable to get past their own bias.

The standard here was the doctor didn’t listen to the woman. He could easily have found she was lying or not with a simple overnight visit to the hospital. Put her in there for one night, see she’s not drinking but still drunk, and that’s i

My standard is that doctors listen to patients, which they don’t do because they don’t respect them. They think they’re all knowing, incapable of mistakes, and let their personal biases rule. Every doctor I’ve been to has struggled to liste
