Agreed, I too had this same idea! So many security guards are paid to patrol parking lots. This could be cheaper and way more effective.

That's a surprisingly helpful blog post from the police department. Very practical tips that will keep you safe from 98% of this kind of trouble.

I wonder if this clickbait filter will also flag ironic blog titles. There have been a fair amount on HN that were clearly a joke, like "We ditched Postgres, what happened next will BLOW YOUR MIND".

Yeah, that seemed crazy to me too. It'd be extremely disheartening to spend a fortune on legal bills, finally win the case, then have it thrown out months later by a judge on a whim.

"Having a law that says you can't ask someone something seems to violate Freedom of Speech and it sets a dangerous precedent." Like your age, religion, sexual orientation, or if you're planning on getting pregnant?

It'd be HUGE if they can recover this rocket a second time. The data from a rocket that has flown twice would be priceless.

Would you be willing to invest time/money into a platform you knew would likely shut down in a month or so? I like the idea of a "last chance", but I definitely would be much less likely to use a platform on its last breath.

I loved Vine, it's a really interesting medium/format. But the userbase killed it for me. Young teenagers posting stupid clips with music edits about some boy band, TV show, or anime. I'm not interested in any of that. I lik

The podium/teleport concept seems very intuitive, at least it definitely was in my mind before the article explained it. Lots of interesting gameplay mechanics still need to be solved for VR, interesting times ahead.

Nice work and great find. Really surprising this design flaw existed, I don't think I would have even bothered trying it. But Facebook ships a lot of code and features, so it just takes perseverance to find these types of issues.
