How can any government ever tackle this issue when many millions of people have already invested huge chunks of their future earnings into the scheme? Explicitly saying "go pound sand" isn't going to work politically, but at

DJI is the only major company that I've experienced demands you install an APK on your android instead of providing something via the app store. Something is completely broken with their software development, though their hardware see

Why couldn't you just sell tokens 1 for $1 and have their price pegged to USD? No PoW priming required. If stakers required rewards, you could just redeem 1 token for 99c and use the excess for rewards.

"Idealist" is unexpectedly "idealist" or very close to that in almost all European languages.

Sometimes that isn't a fallacy. If you have a cancerous tumors, you generally want to get rid of every bit of it at the same time - removing 50% isn't going to slow it down.

I think the important part here is you could do the aerosol injection secretly. It's pretty much impossible to launch a rocket to geosync orbit without a major government getting involved in your business.

The crazy part about this is that doing something like that is within reach of a number of wealthy individuals. All it takes is one delusional billionaire to throw caution, and a metric buttload of aerosols to the wind and we will find out

I did read the article. I was responding to a point someone made, which I took to be about America(rightly or wrongly), not to the article itself. I suspect OP doesn't actually know much about Brazil. While we're talking about mis

I agree it isn't required, but providing full-time child care prevents you from doing a lot of things. If you consider "personal life" to be "socializing with other moms", then yes you can have a personal life. But

There are a whole slew of activities that you cannot do if you're providing full-time childcare, especially for, say, under 5 year olds who aren't in school yet.

Nope, just the opposite. I don't like the concept of making work friends and keep a strict separation between the two. I was talking about the ability for the "primary caretaker" to pursue their own interests, many of which a

I see "personal life" as much larger than "childcare with friends". Can your wife go mountain biking? Can she attend a lecture that coincides with nap time? Can she delve into a tough book?

Realistically you could get that number 6x smaller, because people could voluntarily cut their usage from 30kwh to 15 when the power is out, and 1.5 days of power is probably overkill when 12 hours would get you through 99% of power out sce
