Could be. Could be that more credit is created to fuel more growth and ideas as things accelerate with LLMs. I don’t think the east coast people have a clue what’s happening out here on the west coast sometimes. My perception in the PNW is

I don’t use spaces at all when talking or punctuation. I have rsi so I do the minimal keystroke. I fix no spelling errors. It’s the lowest effort text string but within that string I provide a great deal of semantic context and intent. It n

“In summary, drive on and ignore the local noise” This is disastrous in many environments, but won’t sound as alpha or be as fun of a read. The point about acting angry and then being angry being the same only tells me that about anger. I’m

If the admins using your project are sys admins, they seem to prefer yaml. Shrug. I hesitated posting just because I had a feeling this would not make sense. The project is for super computers and so it’s niche for the admins since they are

Great read. We have been trying our best in the project I work on to rip out as much JS as we can and implement things using the right html tags among other things. Frankly, JS for an open source project used by thousands of users is a nigh

Oidc and keycloak have been great for my project. We stear users to it as it also allows for user impersonation by an admin. Thi is a huge help to debug issues for users, while also keeping any authentication work out of our app and the con

Both products ended up becoming caught up in a race to the bottom. I have no insights how it happened. But I am fascinated that over time apps that work are “improved” and inevitably devolve based on this premise. Except Hacker News. Go fig

This algebra doesn’t hold and the modals used are wrong. You can certainly build software that has a business purpose. Or not. I build useless software all the time, to learn. So the modal matters. I can build useless software. I can build

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Shopify. I'm sorry but if it's software related, I don't get going into the office at all. My entire experience before was one of mostly depression at work because I'd get maybe a c

I like Ruby for my own projects because of how descriptive it is for when i come back to code later and need to understand what i did, and it requires possibly the fewest keystrokes of any modern language, which is a plus for my RSI hands.

That’s, interesting I think. I’m not sure wha true domain of problems are in that arena. I’ve found great success using LLMs for teaching abstract algebra but have noticed when I switch to analysis or topology things get more wonky. My advi

I love the ellipsis. Ruby has made so many good choices as it moved into 3 and I’ve only been happier and happier with it. I also write my Ruby Seattle style, so I’m one of those weirdos.
