This is actually a bit fascinating to me, so do people tend to buy much cheaper phones to begin with. I know in many parts of Eastern Europe iPhones aren't nearly as popular due to the expense. I've had to replace a battery once (

I expect medical professionals to keep masks forever, but right now if you drive to right state you can go mask free to a bar. I'm guessing by September this will largely be over. What a horrible ordeal this has been.

I would love this to spur some serious regulation of social media. The cats sorta out of the bag, but one can dream.

Maybe we need to develop new spaces? With the gig economy I don't see us getting to socialize all that much at work anymore.

by offtop5 6y ago
I wholeheartedly disagree with this. Socialization is not the primary point of work , I very much hope I'm able to work remote forever after the pandemic ends. I've been able to save an insane amount of money these last few month

This is amazing news, hundreds of thousands of people are realizing California is a horrible state to live. It's impossible for most people to afford decent housing, I met folks who would live 20 to a three bedroom. Homelessness is off

At least in hip hop, if you have a falling out with your ghost writers they'll make an effort to expose you. For example Quentin Miller here wrote tons of songs for Drake. https://genius.com/artists/Quentin-miller

The music industry is much worse in my opinion. If you spend half your life learning to program so you can make games, you can always give up at 38 and start working on boring enterprise software. If You're a 38-year-old self-taught mu

Honestly just don't be a jerk. That's half the battle. As long as you listen when I tell you hey this is how we can fix this. I actually left a job because of exceptionally bad code , if your attitude is to get defensive when you

So while I applaud the effort here, it seems to be much safer to buy a Surface Tablet and then install Ubuntu and KDE on it. I have no idea who's behind this Jing OS. How do you make money? The tablet you're going to crowdfund is

I mean, the solution is print. It's just depending on your application you're going to change exactly what you log, and that's where you go and put your own logic

A good manager, especially if they can recognize weakness in the existing code base, will let you refactor things. I've quit a job before when I wasn't allowed to rewrite code which actually wasn't even functional. I've
