Outstanding, do you know this would work with an Android tablet. I've been able to get midi input via a USB C hub, but it always felt a bit off. I could always buy a used Surface tablet

Build the trains without paying for them. California is much the same way, you have dozens of fantastic niche taxes to fund programs, but next thing you know you're paying $500,000 to house a single homeless family. It would be easier

You hit the nail on the head, I think ghost blog is relatively easy to set up, but for $9 a month and you'll handle my hosting and my ssl certs, and most people with a bit of disposable income are fine with paying that. I just spent $8

That's a great point. I actually looked at GitHub pages and my main issue with it is there's no way to password lock the site. I don't need serious security here, but I also don't exactly want the entire world to see my

Outstanding, the app store requires a multitude of screenshots so I see this is a very useful tool. Thank you

Not bad at all, the next time I work on a side project I'll try to see if I can get my teammates to collab using this. I don't know exactly how you're going to get bigger companies to bite though, the vast vast majority of co

Actually I'm trying to say the opposite, I knew nothing when I was a kid. There was something awesome about getting your Wi-Fi driver to work after fighting it for 3 hours. It was very awesome struggle with Linux as a kid, not everythi

And plus apt get install or whatever your distro is equivalent is is infinitely easier than searching the internet to try and find what you want. I reckon a kid who can install apps on Ubuntu and troubleshoot basic issues can probably get a

But why not. The worst thing that happens is maybe a teacher needs to reflash the OS, if you tell kids that no we're not going to play Minecraft today, we're going to make Minecraft you can inspire a lifelong love of programming.

Actually I think students need to learn to use apt. I swear, the entire reason I got comfortable with the command line is because when I was 16 I couldn't afford a Windows license, and I ordered a free Ubuntu CD. I'm still very go

Thanks for the insight. I'd be more worried for those who work festivals, events , bars , restaurants, etc. Millions of life have been destroyed. I like to put it this way , the worst thing that's happened to me since Corona start

People are past the point of caring, if I really wanted to go out to a bar tonight, I could drive to one of the states which allow it. Even the meetup groups in my area, are all revving to resume in person events. I strongly suspect most pe

Awesome response, it looks like most of these phones are still rather old though. I know that some cheaper Chinese phones have bootloader as you can completely unlock without going through the OEM process.

I'd much prefer a list of phones where people have been able to crack the bootloader open completely and then I can just install Linux on top of it. Not a big fan of extremely old hardware which would never be able to keep up with what

Is this a moral argument, it would cost you more to find a specific Linux laptop in most cases.

It should be a nominal task to install Ubuntu on top of it, worst comes to worse it doesn't work and you send it back to Best buy.

To be fair, as Linux users we generally can build from source if all else fails. Now if you have some weird application which isn't built for your distro AND is closed source , you may run into problems .

In America absolutely nothing happens. He might have some type of agreement where he gets a severance payment upon resignation, that would be forfeited. If I was him, assuming upper management starts yelling or whatever, I would just leave.
