Two things happened to Opera: - nobody wants to pay. - google breaks their web apps on Opera (and many companies don't test stuff on Opera).

EU should've mandate that providing the header is enough. And no window should be shown in this case (you can still ask to allow on top of a page, but it should not be overlay). And yea, it should _never_ be an overlay, because overlay

Probably because they have agreement between these companies. They don't really need marketing once they sell their machines.

They at least lost some money from ads from new possible products, if everything is doom and gloom. But these cost-cutting measures are just to be in the news and protect the price of their stocks (look, we are decreasing our costs). Becaus

that is sooo bad. Basically anyone can give you support with some open source code (i.e. consultancy, they fix a bug/deploy/tweak for you and go away) except the authors of the code. Because if the authors do this, they are liable

This seems like something which can only benefit: 1) very large corporations Same was with GDPR... It will benefit companies, who have money to do audits (and companies which do audits).

So, if you work for a commercial company and wanna contribute something back to some open source project - you will not get a green light from your lawyers department once this is enforced (it is already pretty hard to convince them).

Pretty much that. After GDPR many small shops refused to work with EU IP addresses and just redirect to a page with some disclaimer. But big players (who were consulting politicians when GDPR regulations were written) only won from GDPR, th

They would keep info, so they could feed it into their AI someday. That one of the reasons they stop providing public access. And they still holding copyrights for it. So, to do nothing from their side is the smartest decision.

Except photography is not changing that much. Many creators are still using retro lenses. So, reviews for the current glass would be relevant the next 40 years.

Oh, cameras are not that dead yet. And many people said they would order new stuff not from Amazon because of it. Good that there are other shops. Because removal of DPReview pissed off the whole camera community.

There are so many other options besides a football size open space (hello, facebook) and corpo cubicles. For example, each agile team could perfectly fit in a small room + shared areas. And put a couple extra desks for monads like managers.
