It's a little more nuanced than that. 1.47% of women aged 40 will develop breast cancer within ten years, but only 0.34% of men aged 40 will develop prostate cancer over a similar time period (according to the CDC risk statistics). 0.01% of

From reading the post, it sounds to me as if people trading wine weren't necessarily crying out for an automatic process, but were in fact looking to cut out the middleman. But because the market was so insular, once you cut out the middlem

As well as the online streaming, I highly recommend going to a I/O Extended event, if one's happening near you (Google will publish a page listing them all nearer the time). Last year the London event was over at Google's co-working space,

I mentioned this in another thread: lots of engineers do live outside of California. The majority of engineers in the world are not based on Pacific Time. Last year Apple put WWDC tickets on sale at 5:30AM PDT without notice...the rumour mi

Although I don't think the free stuff helps matters, WWDC tends to be a very similar free for all - slightly less hectic, but that's only because Apple don't give notice of when the tickets are going on sale, so it's more of a mad scramble

They do stream all the sessions online, along with the I/O extended sessions around the world. I think Google do a good job of making the actual material available...although I will accept that is no substitute for the networking/experience

If Google are being clever about it (and you'd assume they are) then they would have tied ticket search into your Google Plus account, so multiple browser sessions would be of little help, private or not.

I am wondering why the OP decided to post it here, rather than try and get a bug bounty (edit: assuming it's a genuine issue, seems like maybe it isn't). It would probably be worth a fair amount...certainly a few thousand at least. Facebook

Chrome for iOS is a little bit more than a skin on top of a UIWebView - the entire Chromium networking stack has been ported over. The upshot of this is that Chrome for iOS supports SPDY, whilst Mobile Safari doesn't. My understanding is th

There's very little point obfuscating strings in iOS - since you can attach a debugger to the binary itself on jailbroken handsets (or using cycript) you can step through to the method(s) that use the secret keys and pull them out from ther

Putting the pros and cons of the free hardware aside, I'm not sure getting rid of it would solve the demand problems. Apple charges $700 more for WWDC tickets, give away no hardware, and it still sells out in under two hours.

If it's a CoreText bug, which is sounds like it is, it's going to impact any iOS or OS X app that uses Core Text for rendering. That's pretty much everyone.
