Hey, you took my advice! You specified that the matter had urgency! Good job!

And for some reason Crostini still isn't available on the majority of Chromebooks.

Right, so you want other people to work around your forgetfulness? Your private messages are intended to be private. If you're knowingly displaying them during a presentation, that is very rude of you.

If you didn't, then I'll be forced to assume it's not important. At least you clearly didn't care enough to put in a tiny amount of effort.

Sounds like you're actively trying to annoy your coworkers, you probably shouldn't do that.

You seriously want people to completely distract you from whatever you're doing, using loud noises and popups? If my status is green it means people can send me a message, and expect a response within a reasonable amount of time. Any c

If it's urgent then you should probably take a few seconds to explain why.

The trick is to not respond until they say what they want. If they later complain, say you didn't have time for a friendly conversation. Alternatively, if you're not busy, respond but steer the conversation to topics like the weat

Surprising they even went through with that. Personally I'd have said fuck it, blamed Apple and moved on with my life. If Apple wants to create incompatible hardware, let them put the effort & money into fixing the software, if the

That is still the wrong way to look at it. Functionality comes first, then you can make that look pretty. There should be no art in your UI.

How can you notarize your software when apple has suspended your developer account? Would you not say that notarization requires you to have a developer account, which requires Apple's approval?

They most definitely do, using their developer program. Look up Apple vs Epic for a case where they weaponized this.

To be frank, Mac is not a model I would want to follow. I am the sysadmin and owner of my machine, not Apple or some other organization. They have no business telling me what software I can and can't run, or what files that software ca

This definitely is a feature. You can use sandboxing if you want to. See kernel namespaces (used by Docker), Ubuntu's snaps, etc. But breaking almost all software by default just because some incompetent users keep choosing to install

It's difficult to predict how much something will cost in the future. If your example was followed then a device that lasts a year and a device that lasts 10 years would have the same added cost. This is not ideal, since it may not be

I live in the EU and have never encountered a carrier locked phone. It's quite an amusing concept, and the first carrier to come up with it must truly have been evil.

I don't know about that, I have literally never used it or heard of it. It was today I learned that WhatsApp has a bunch of these useless features. Besides, China should not be your model if you care about privacy.

Why would I want in-app services and purchasing like Facebook Marketlplace in my chat messaging app? It should facilitate chat and messaging, and no more. This is how it used to be, until Facebook acquired and ruined WhatsApp.
