Last time I checked, layoffs are still happening. You have two choices: 1) stay at this current job even though it is stupid and unpredictable 2) Voluntarily give up this job and compete with thousands if not tens of thousands of very skill

As pointed by countless people before me -- the hard part is not necessarily the hosting itself (which is still hard and could be a problem at a certain point), but to moderate -- to filter out spams, insults and illegal stuff etc. That is

Did you actually read that comment? I think the point is very clear -- given a reasonable price, people may would want to use the API instead of scaping the data themselves. If you instead ask for exorbitant amount of money, it only forces

I don't know where you can find that "only a few thousand" people or the funding. I don't know if one can even count the number of failed attempts at a mobile operating system.

That's a very uninformed opinion. Nobody could say that unless they are capable of actually coming up with a solution that can handle version control at Meta's scale.

"Anki isn't for everybody" But I didn't see a single sentence about how this is different from Anki and why? Why do you want to reinvent the wheel when Anki is good enough?

JVM isn't bound to language either -- it can run bytecode generated by another language, for like, decades. But I'm afraid it has never received mainstream attention.

The whole thing feels hallucination from someone who didn't spend enough time with either WebAssembly or containers and simply didn't understand how these things work.

This looks horrible to anyone who had some formal training in (any) music instrument. And no serious teacher will look at this thing, at all.
