Your suggestion makes no sense. If you don't want to use a format string, use a function that takes a regular string, like puts, instead of a vprintf variant. Why would anyone go to the trouble of escaping a format string so they can use it

I'm fairly proficient with both Vim and Emacs and I can feel it when I'm not using either editor. For example, I'm using a browser on Windows and I want to jump to a line's end. In Emacs (or on OS X which uses Emacs shortcuts), that's Ct

If the author could switch that easily to SublimeText, he wasn't properly using Vim.

Try Emacs with evil mode for Vim emulation. It doesn't get better than this. It is almost like having a lisp-based Vim.

That looks exactly like the OKTrends sharing bar. Did you implement it, or is there js library for that?

No it isn't. IANAL, but I believe class action lawsuits deal with civil, not criminal, offenses. Don't be so fast to downvote the grandparent if you didn't understand the question.

It isn't a problem with Twitter or Gmail, it is a bug in Chrome. Chrome leaks memory. Check memory usage again after force-quitting Chrome and relaunching it. I have to restart Chrome daily to regain 3-5 gigs of swap.

Everyone is commenting on the "no evil" thing, so I want to give my take on that. Yes, companies are large entities that maximize shareholder profit and therefore talking about "good companies" or "bad companies" is meaningless. But I alway

The links at the top don't work. I started to sign-up for the app. I gave it permission to track my location, but when it asked me to create a username and password I gave up. I don't know what your app does. I didn't read your tiny collaps

Alright, don't hate me for this. I have mixed feelings about meta-submissions, so I'm hoping that submitting this to HN is justified. This was my 2nd time launching, and my first time launching successfully. Ask me anything you want to know

Thanks. I was playing around with Google Forms, but they don't seem to have an API and I don't want to embed an iframe.

If your goal is to defeat SOPA like legislation, please consider researching the Libertarian party and its candidates.

Do you agree that "Having Google's DNS blacked out because Google linked to a copyrighted sitcom transcript" a possible outcome if SOPA passes? No. Absolutely not.

Let the votes speak for themselves. If everyone thought this was absurd and contrary to their personal experiences, it wouldn't be at the top of the homepage.
