If it's any consolation, it's bad on an iPhone 5s too. I get constant crashes, animation glitches that need a reboot to fix, it's just unusable and there's no way back to iOS6. I've used it on an iPhone 4, and I don

Just experience. If you try and download an iOS7-only app on iOS6 you get an option to download a previous version.

Users can now install older versions that are compatible, but you can't update them anymore once you go past that point.

They show it off with 4K monitors, just not their own. For a machine that's specifically slated to use them (6 thunderbolt ports, two GPUs) it's extremely strange behaviour.

That's an incredibly bad job at blurring the sample. It's both visible through the blur.. and on the text view on the right. http://st.drweb.com/static/news/20131216-trojan.skimer.18/1g...

I'm incredibly surprised there's no Retina Display to go with this. Buy our $5000 desktop computer, it looks best on somebody else's display.

I would be shocked if Apple sockets the CPU, they haven't done that in their other Macs for years, why would this one be any different?

6 attempts a second on a high end i7 is as good as it gets. If you don't remember 90% of it then the coins are lost.

There's a line with this sort of stuff, and the crossing of it is what I have an issue with. If they presented it as an attempt and asked for critique, then this would have been a fine thing to publish. They would have got chewed out b

The issue is that they claim their system is secure. Peoples lives can literally depend on encryption actually doing what it says on the tin; this software does not. It's the epitome of home grown encryption.

I'm not quite sure I understand it either, though this does execute phpinfo. $variable = "{${phpinfo()}}"; echo "$variable is fish"; I feel I've missed the point.

There's an option in your user settings called "noprocrast". Use it to great effect.

I was going to aim for a single GPU just to avoid having to deal with having such a wide block of coolers. It's something I'll have to experiment with a bit I think, I haven't built a computer in years. Last time I did I was

You can do both quite comfortably now. There's affordable (sub $2000 USD) 4K TVs, and consumer cards can push out 4L video if you gang them together. It's not really out of the range of possibility, I've been investigating ma

Not something I've ever desired. Either in the home or externally rendered. In the home there's absolutely no way my consumer hardware is going to to keep up with 1080p or 2160p streaming over a network (heck HDMI barely manages),

Not at all. What's stopping me from hashing the result with something else? The base of the work must be in changeable. That's the whole point of POW in this case. If you want to rewrite history you need to do the POW again, in yo

That's not right. It must be hard to produce, easy to verify, and be deterministically linked to the previous POW. That last feature is critical.

Emulating iMessage is an awful job that only a select few seem to have managed. The protocol is confused and complicated, the binaries are heavily obfuscated, and Apple's servers ban quickly and with little warning. Even those that hav

At this point there's almost 200 "the new thing" alt coins. Everybody wants to be in on "the new thing", which makes them all just pump and dump economies. It's a futile idea.
